About Chilombo Consulting


Chilombo Consulting was founded in March 2021 by Vanessa Da Costa as a branch/DBA under Chilombo Global Career Services LLC, which was established in January 2019. Our mission is to take a collaborative and inclusive approach to data analytics and visualization, to ultimately assist human-centered projects with improving their programming and initiatives. 


As data analysts and statisticians, the Chilombo Consulting Team leverages their interdisciplinary backgrounds as public health professionals and entrepreneurs working on projects and programs in the U.S. and globally to help clients achieve their analytical needs beyond crunching numbers. We help our clients develop the strategy, systems, processes, plans that feed into the quality analytics and visuals we produce.



About These Positions


Lead Qualitative Research Consultant: A Qualitative or Mixed-Methods Researcher who will facilitate the strategy, design, coding and analysis of data projects for our clients.

  • Responsibilities:

    • Develop qualitative and mixed methods research frameworks and plans based on client needs and goals.

    •  Lead qualitative project task management, and delegate to qualitative research consultant and other consultants as needed.

    • Review qualitative deliverables before final submission.

    • Facilitate required deliverables which may include: literature searches, qualitative data collection and analysis (from focus groups, interviews), and report writing.


Qualitative Research Consultant: A Qualitative or Mixed-Methods Researcher who will assist with the coding and analysis of the qualitative component of data projects for our clients.

  • Responsibilities:

    • Execute required deliverables which may include: literature searches, qualitative data collection and analysis (from focus groups, interviews), and report writing.

    • Contribute to qualitative and mixed methods research frameworks and plans.


Qualifications:

 

Required:

•Masters Degree

•Work Experience in qualitative research and analysis (there is no specific year requirement, however more experience may make you better qualified for the Lead position)

• Proficiency in Qualitative Software (MaxQDA, Dedoose, Nvivo etc)

• Availability: at least 20 hours/month

• Microsoft Office/Google Drive Proficiency

• Self-starter, independent worker, problem-solving skills, and pays strong attention to detail

• Strong project management, communication, presentation, and writing skills

• Organized and trustworthy


Preferred:

• Formal training in Qualitative Research and/or Analysis (i.e. University class, training, certificate program)

• Passion for public health, education, nonprofits, workforce development, and global development



Salary:

• $80+/hour for project-based work (exact amount depends on contracts)

• $25/hour for general work, i.e. proposal writing, researching opportunities (1 hour max/month)
