About the PHR E-Learning Platform
Hi!
As the Public Health Resources cofounders, we wanted to share a bit about the vision for the Public Health Resources e-learning Platform. Public Health Resources started as a instagram page and blog in March 2020 to share opportunities to individuals in public health and related fields. As public health professionals working at the intersection of public health, career development, and workforce development, we were motivated to expand our platform beyond social media, to become the leading global resource for public health/allied sciences students and professionals. We developed a vision for an e-learning platform, and new that funding it would be a challenge to tackle. In December of 2020, we were 1 of 75 businesses among 2,000 applicants that were chosen for the 2021 Cohort of the IFundWomen Caress Dreams to Reality Fund Program! Since January 2021, we've been participating in a virtual accelerator to build our business acumen and prepare the Public Health Resources Campaign. We receive $1,000 grant from IFundWomen to spearhead the development of our program/platform.
WHAT ARE WE FUNDING
We’ve designed a Public Health Career Platform that can be used by anyone in the allied sciences to further enhance their skill sets. The goal of the platform is to deliver career development resources, tools, and opportunities in an affordable, scalable, and measurable way. We’re dedicated to giving every student, graduate, and professional a digital playground for career growth.
WHAT ARE WE ASKING FOR
We’re looking to raise $50K to assist with the development of the prototype and subsequent beta testing. We are active in extensive networks of over 500+ public health specialists with interdisciplinary backgrounds that have a proven track record in their field, with decades of experience. Our platform will allow young professionals to navigate their career journeys through our platform with not only guidance from experts, but also engaging activities and practices to help them apply the skills and practices they learn on our platform in real-world experiences.
With your financial support, we hope to get to market in the next six months. Checkout our campaign video below, and consider donating what you can to the campaign here! If each supporter in our Public Health Resources social media platform donated $20, we would reach our fundraising goal! Thank you for your support!
