HR Directions seeks a prospect for its client RTI International for the Qualitative Research Internship within the Global Health Impact Center in the Social, Statistical and Environmental Sciences business unit.
The Global Health Impact Center is comprised of a committed team of scientists. The center conducts rigorous epidemiologic, biomedical, socio-behavioral and implementation research to improve infectious disease and chronic health outcomes.
The Qualitative Research Intern will be contribute to qualitative data review and analysis for multiple ongoing studies that examine end-user perspectives on HIV prevention and multi-purpose prevention (pregnancy & HIV) options.
RTI's Internship Program emphasizes experiential and mentored learning experiences, providing students and recent degree recipients an opportunity to apply their academic knowledge and skills in a meaningful and practical way. Additional Information
This paid internship will take place from March 2021 through August 2021. Candidates eligible for academic course or program credit are welcome to apply. The internship requires a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week. Hours are flexible during business hours, Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
- Master's or PhD student in socio-behavioral public health field
- Demonstrated experience with qualitative research methods.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Interest in sexual and reproductive health in countries outside of the U.S
