RTI’s Government Relations (GR) team is looking for a Government Relations Coordinator to provide project management and operational support for its operations.  For this role, we are looking for a candidate who is organized, proactive, adaptable, and excited by the opportunity to improve the human condition thorough engagement with all levels of government. 


Requirements:

  • Provide day-to-day operational support on projects and activities. Including conducting basic policy research, developing project timelines, identifying deliverables, and assisting with budgeting, travel, and scheduling.  
  • Assist with planning and execution of meetings and events (to include taking minutes and action items).
  • Draft presentations, white papers and talking points for RTI researchers and GR staff in support of GR activities focused on both internal and external audiences.
  • Track priority public policy developments using both public information and subscription platforms.
  • Prepare quarterly and semi-annual federal and state compliance reports.
  • Update project teams and researchers on developments through internal communications platforms and meetings.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Formal project management experience or training preferred. 
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to listen and communicate well both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and 1 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
