Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Coordinates and prepares high quality client-focused proposals, budgets and client grids for new business opportunities within given timeframe.
  • Adheres to the proposal process.
  • Evaluates and understands client requirements for incoming Request for Proposals (RFPs) and sets up proposal-related meetings with the appropriate personnel in the proposal development process.
  • Chairs kick-off and other opportunity-specific meetings to support the proposal development process.
  • Liaises with the appropriate personnel including Business Development and Operations throughout the proposal generation to ensure that the proposal and strategy meet the customer needs.
  • Prepares budgets for proposals in the relevant costing tool and interacts with Operational departments as needed for input and review.
  • Submits final proposal package, on time, to Business Development or designee.
  • Coordinates and prepares budgets and specifications for contracts for new business awards within agreed timelines, where applicable.
  • Attends client meetings as a support role as required.
  • Solicits input and review of proposals and budgets from Proposal Manager in a timely manner.
  • Maintains filing and tracking tools in accordance with accepted practices.
  • Complies with ICON GPHS administrative, training and human resources policies.
  • Maintains a safe workplace ensuring that he/she is aware of and observes appropriate safety and occupational health rules and regulations. Employee is required to attend safety training relative to his/her position and report any infractions of safety procedures to the facility Safety Officer.
  • Performs light duties and other related duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications

Experience

Preferred

1. Bachelor's degree in science or related field required; advanced degree preferred.

2. Minimum of 1-year CRO/Sponsor or related experience in developing U.S. government and commercial contract proposals in Phase I-IV clinical trials.

3. Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

4. Must be a team player while able to work independently.

5. Strong work ethic; desire to work in an entrepreneurial and deadline driven environment with rapidly changing priorities.

6. Excellent numeracy, communication and organization skills.

7. Advanced data analysis and problem-solving skills needed.

8. Proficiency in Salesforce or other customer relationship management platforms preferred.

9. Proficiency in proposal and presentation production software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Visio, SharePoint, Adobe and Qvidian Sant9.
