Research Coordinator

We’re looking for a research coordinator with a strong interest in health communication and research. You’re a creative problem-solver with an interest in growing your research and analysis skills. Your perfectionist’s eye for detail applies whether you’re coordinating research schedules or note-taking during interviews. You enjoy working independently and collaboratively, have a proactive mindset, and have outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Assist team in following established processes for research, including review and approval of deliverables
  • Assist with background research and literature reviews
  • Format and prepare client deliverables
  • Program surveys and perform quality control on data sets
  • Coordinate recruitment and logistics for all research methods
  • Take organized and detailed notes during primary data collection (i.e., interviews, focus groups, usability testing etc.) as needed
  • Take detailed, actionable notes for client and team meetings – ensure next steps are carried out promptly
  • Maintain accurate records of interviews, safeguarding the confidentiality of subjects as necessary
  • Maintain study/project schedules and timelines
  • Assist Project Managers in the day-to-day execution of research contracts
  • Support the Research Director in business development activities (i.e., coordinating schedules, vendor bids, and logistics for proposals)


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field — like communication, psychology, sociology, public health or another related social science
  • At least 1 semester of formal quantitative or qualitative research methods
  • Stellar planning, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to “think on your feet” and come up with creative and appropriate solutions
  • Ability to work well in teams with other highly qualified professionals in a relaxed, culturally diverse environment
  • Ability to travel (up to 1 week every 2 months) and work outside of normal business hours during data collection


Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of experience assisting with survey research
  • Proficient in using SPSS or other statistical analysis software
  • Experience providing high-level editing and writing with limited supervision
  • Solid working knowledge of common operating systems and software including iOS for Mac. Comfortable with digitally-based work, especially digital project management, collaboration tools, and video conferencing.
