Evaluator I/Epidemiologist 

Epiphany Community Services 

Works with the public health collaborations to engage in the known evaluative methodologies related to analysis of contribution as described by the World Health Organization’s Center for Community Health and Development and the Center for Disease Control and program evaluation. Designs secondary and primary data protocols and provides interpretation, final analysis, report writing, and grant reporting. At this time this position is single project focused. 

Reports To: President of Epiphany Community Services or their designee

•Understand and implement known methodologies for evaluating public health collaborations. 
• Review and refine community outcome paths such as logic models. 
• Develop secondary and primary data collection protocols. 
• Review and score data (clean data) using evaluation software. 
• Engage in data collection, analysis and interpretation. 
• Create evaluation plans and evaluation communication plans. 
• Work at a distance and onsite with public health collaborations. 
• Develop reports based on results and data analysis. 
• Develop and deliver presentations and training for client consumption. 
• Support technical and executive staff in communications, outreach and client relations. 
• Other duties as assigned by the President of Epiphany Community Services or designee(s).

General

• Out of state travel is required. 
• Takes responsibility for assignment completion and follow-through. 
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications: 
• Must have an advanced degree in a public health or policy related field, master’s degree in public health or evaluation related field preferred. 
• Must have at least five years of experience working with or as part of a collaboration that is trying to affect a public health outcome i.e. substance use, physical activity, obesity. 
• Undergraduate or graduate coursework in research methods (quantitative and qualitative), epidemiology, public health and public policy. 
• Experience and knowledge of federal substance use grant reporting requirements desired 
• Demonstrated experience in communication including but not limited to written, oral and electronic reports. • Strong communication skills, written and spoken.
 • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
• Comfortable working independently, with experience working in a team environment. 
• Skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
