ICAP at Columbia University, a global health leader situated within the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York City, seeks highly qualified candidates to serve as Contact Tracer - USA. The incumbent will be responsible to perform contact tracing for COVID-19 cases identified through the Columbia University SARS-CoV-2 testing program. The position is a part time temporary (up to 12 months) position, with flexible and varying hours each week. The Contact Tracer will reach out to persons diagnosed with COVID-19 and contacts through telephone contact and in person meetings. The incumbent will conduct assessments with cases and contacts and refers all to appropriate information and services. He/She will be responsible to conduct COVID-19 case interviews and contact tracing using a trauma-informed, culturally respectful approach that builds trust and facilitates the free sharing of information.
ICAP seeks highly qualified and experienced candidates to fill the Contact Tracer position by as soon as possible The successful candidate will hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and have ability to understand the concepts of institutional and structural racism and bias and their impact on underserved and underrepresented communities. He/She have ability and willingness to visit clients at their homes and/or in the field when necessary. 
The incumbent will have a demonstrated commitment to supporting/working to advance public and ability to show empathy and be nonjudgmental towards distressed individuals. He/She will also have experience navigating computer systems, utilizing databases for searches and ability to comply with data integrity and security policies, safeguarding all personal identifiable information.
