Position Summary


As part of Nestle USA’s Winning Product Experiences Center of Excellence, the Nutrition, Health, and Wellness (NHW) team provides marketing and nutrition expertise for the Foods, Beverage, Baking and Global Brands Divisions. We specialize in uncovering consumer-centric NHW opportunities, sharing science-based evidence, developing products and processes to enable growth, and advocating in a way to inspire happier and healthier families. 


The purpose of this position is to support the NHW team in identifying modern health trends, summarizing relevant research, and applying sound nutrition science to NHW renovation and innovation (R&I) projects. Individual will gain practical experience and exposure contributing to the brand R&I process and will develop professional skills that are highly relevant for employment in the food and beverage industry.

Work under supervision of the NHW Manager to help successfully build brands by identifying NHW-forward strategic opportunities that inspire portfolio evolution and growth.
  • Apply nutrition knowledge to identify portfolio gaps and opportunities based on scientific research, consumer trends, competitive landscape, nutrition policy, and regulatory environment
  • Develop business understanding to align NHW insights and objectives with brand plans, and contribute to R&I by providing evidence-based recommendations to deliver key NHW benefits
  • Monitor established and emerging modern health benefits to support the NHW team in staying ahead of nutrition science and consumer health trends
Example Project
  • Develop a compelling business recommendation for the brand teams on a modern health benefit (e.g. functional ingredients, lower sugar, plant-based, etc.) including consumer insights; competitive strategies; government, health, science experts and consumer interest group activities; and Nestlé capabilities.

Qualifications

 Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Master’s level degree program with an emphasis in nutrition, dietetics, health, or marketing/communications or related field, or an accredited Dietetic Internship program.
